Instructions: Clean and disinfect open wounds completely. Place a sterilized non-stick pad (sold separately) over affected area. Wrap bandage over pad, with one-third of bandage showing on each wrap. When pad is completely covered, press to secure at end. Test the pressure at each wrap by placing two fingers gently under the bandage to avoid overtightening. Secure end with adhesive tape or bandage if needed.

FOR PET USE ONLY. NOT INTENDED FOR HUMAN USE. Keep out of reach of children. Wrapping too tightly may impair circulation. Do not apply directly to open wounds. If you sense discomfort in your pet, remove immediately and seek advice from your veterinarian. Inspect regularly and replace if any part becomes soiled or damaged. Contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions in some pets.

Customers say

Customers report mixed results with this deterrent bandage. Many praise its effectiveness, noting their dogs did not attempt removal and it stayed on significantly longer than expected. Several highlight the bitter taste as a key feature that discourages chewing and supports healing. However, some customers report inconsistent performance, with certain dogs still chewing through the bandage despite the deterrent. Overall, most find it effective for their needs, though results vary depending on individual pet behavior.

"Bitter," was ineffective

Adhesive property of wrap is good, but the "bitter," property didn't delay my dog from removing the wrap. I was depending on that "bitter," feature.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Product worked well but doesn’t have much on 1 roll. I wrapped my mini dachshunds abdomen twice & that was the whole roll. 1 roll is $8.99 which in my opinion, is way overpriced.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dog ATE Bandage, Went to Emergency Vet

CAUTION: Dog may eat bandage if unattended! I used this bandage to wrap my dogs paw to help a small spot heal. It is stretchy, attaches easily, and discouraged my dog from licking at first. The second day I put this on, within 30 minutes of unsupervised time, my dog tore off and ATE the bandage. I had to go to the emergency vet to have them induce vomiting. Fortunately, he ripped it into small pieces before eating it so it didn’t choke him. The bitter flavor does discourage licking but will not stop a determined dog, so don’t make the same mistake and leave your dog unattended!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Worth it for my dog

While my dog is not much of a chewer, he was interested in licking the flexible bandage I got from the vet (just your average bandage you’d find at cvs for people) and hasn’t licked this more than once. I tried it and (if dogs’ taste is anything like ours) it’s pretty bad, so I’ve been buying it although it is much more expensive than the regular stuff.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Bitterless Bandage

I bought this knowing that some dogs like the bitter taste. However, while bitter apple spray tastes bitter to humans, and if any gets on your hands you can tell, these bandages lacked any bitterness. They work as bandages, which is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 star, but your better off getting the regular bandages and using bitter apple spray.

No, I do not recommend this product.

She was licking the bandages before I even put them on her. She likes the way it tastes. I thought it was supposed to be a deterrent, but she couldn’t wait to start licking the bandages.

No, I do not recommend this product.
