My dog licks his sore. Can I leave a bitter wrap on for 8 hours?

You can wrap them, but I almost guarantee that he will rip those wrappings right off! You are better off putting an Elizabethan collar (sometimes referred to as the "cone of shame") on Ollie to keep him away from those spots. There are very nice, soft ones now that are much more comfortable than the old, rigid plastic ones. If the sores have not healed in a week, please take Ollie to the vet and have them checked!

You have discovered the biggest problem with using topical treatments in pets! While a small amount of ingested iodine is likely safe (although may cause irritation to the mouth or hypersalivation), you won't be doing any good putting the iodine on the wound since Khora will just lick it right off. If you want to continue putting topical treatments on the wound, then you will need to cover them with a bandage (that is changed frequently to stay clean) or have Khora wear an e-collar to prevent her from licking the ointments.

I don't recommend it. Although quite safe on superficial wounds, dogs lick and ingest most of the topical ointment you apply and therefore should be used only under direct veterinary supervision and if there are no other appropriate options. Many human ointments contain multiple other ingredients which are not necessarily safe to be swallowed.

Yes you can do some treatments at home. I recommend soaking the feet in a warm betadine solution or other antibacterial soap or solution once daily until the lesions are healed. Skin and foot problems can take three to four weeks to resolve. I don’t put topical cream or ointment on the feet as this encourages licking. I recommend using a cone if Oliver does start licking the feet. If this gets worse then systemic antibiotics are indicated. The amount of steroid shouldn't be harmful to Sky. Use caution with the chloramphenicol though. It can cause bone marrow suppression in some dogs and aplastic anemia in some people. A safer option would be to use a shirt or recovery wear for pets. A bitter agent, such as Bitter Apple Spray or Fooey!, can be used around the site to deter licking.

To treathe feet you apply a small amount to the affected area on her feet and rub it into the skin. This is usually done twice a day, or follow the directions on the label. They are safe medications but they are not made to injest. I recommend using a cone until the lesions are healed so she can’t lick her feet. Dogs don’t like the cone at first but they learn to eat, drink and sleep with it on. The feet will heal much more quickly if you prevent licking. You can dip Cash's toe nail into a bar of soap which will close it off and stop the bleeding/seal it. Leave the sock on until tomorrow, then take it off and see whether Cash leaves it alone. If not, put the sock back on for a few days, and it should be healed by then and Cash should leave his toe alone.
