My dog's ears bother him. Is Zymox good for yeast or prevention?
All of the Zymox products that I found are to treat irritation and inflammation, so they wouldn't be very good at prevention or specific treatment of infection. The best preventative would be a good ear cleaner 1-2 times per week or after getting out of water. I like Dechra EpiKlean Ear Cleanser as it is gentle and helps dry out the ear and remove debris. If you think that Wes already has an ear infection, then he would need have it diagnosed by a vet and get medications specific for his type of infection. Once cleared, you can continue with normal cleaning to prevent further ear infections!

What can I give my dog for an ear infection to help her feel better?
Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. You could try Zymox, which you can find online quite easily. However, the concern with just starting an ear medication without examining the ear canals is that you may be administering ear medications in an ear with a ruptured ear drum. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Luna so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! What Omega 3 supplement helps my dog's allergies and itchy skin?
Hello. Honestly, I recommend either Nordic Naturals or Bayer Free Form Snip Tips. Both of these are highly recommended by veterinary dermatologists, too. You will need to call other veterinarians to see who carries Cytopoint. It is an excellent product & most of my clients love the convenience of only needing a simple injection once ever 6-8 weeks to control their pet's allergies. Recommend medicated shampoo for dog itchy skin, fungal & bacterial?
All of the brands you listed are good shampoos. Duoxo is one of my go to shampoos but many are equivalent. A chlorhexadine/ketoconazole shampoo helps treat yeast and bacteria. The main thing is to lather Sibyl up and allow the lather to soak for 20 minutes or so before rinsing. If needed you can bathe every 2-3 days. I also recommend an oral omega 3 supplement such as Derm Caps. Remember if you use topical flea or heart worm prevention the medicated shampoos will strip it out. My dog has joint issues & licks paws. What chewy supplement helps?
Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I would put her on a Glucosamine AND Omega 3 fish oils. I like Dasquinn treats and for fish oils I prefer VRS Omega Benefits but it is a liquid. Otherwise try Nordic naturals.
