Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Sweetie. Unfortunately Zymox Otic HC contains enzymes and some hydrocortisone. It will help with itching, inflammation, and pain but will not treat ear mites. I would advise letting your vet take a look at Sweetie after getting a thorough history. They can then advise some diagnostic tests to evaluate what is going on with the ears. They can do an ear smear where they take some of the ear discharge, put it on a slide, and examine it under the microscope. Ear mites, bacteria, yeast, and foreign bodies can all cause ear infections/ear problems. Ear mites are contagious to all pets in the household so it's important to diagnose and treat that appropriately. There are topical flea/tick products that also treat ear mites and there are topical ear medicines which can address a variety of ear problems. Good luck with Sweetie.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I'm sorry to hear about Kimmie's skin issues, but your veterinarian is correct in recommending this diet trial. You may be able to order the food through Chewy.com for cheaper than other places. They often have discounts for your first order, which can be really great. I would not change the diet your veterinarian prescribed, as this will defeat the purpose of the diet trial! I hope this is helpful!

All of the Zymox products that I found are to treat irritation and inflammation, so they wouldn't be very good at prevention or specific treatment of infection. The best preventative would be a good ear cleaner 1-2 times per week or after getting out of water. I like Dechra EpiKlean Ear Cleanser as it is gentle and helps dry out the ear and remove debris. If you think that Wes already has an ear infection, then he would need have it diagnosed by a vet and get medications specific for his type of infection. Once cleared, you can continue with normal cleaning to prevent further ear infections!

Hello. I do not know what might be available in Canada, but I highly recommend looking at this website for the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Click on the Accepted Products link at the top, then on accepted products for cats. It will list everything that is truly tested to provide results. Thanks for using PetCoach. https://www.vohc.org

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Based on your description and the pictures you have provided, this sounds as though Boba may be dealing with an allergy. There is nothing concerning in the pictures. It is difficult to say what the cause is as there are so many things that can cause allergies. I would recommend by starting with the below recommended products. If there is no improvement, I would recommend having Boba examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. He may need prescription medication to help with the main problem. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. 1. Welactin omega 3 fish oil capsules for cats 2. Douxo PS Calm shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved 3. Malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the affected areas until resolved. 4. Essential 6 spot on by Dermoscent
