Why is my older dog bringing me socks and other items at night?
Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It is hard to know why an animal suddenly changes their behaviour. He could just be showing affection to you, as it sounds like he is aware of his behaviour. Sometimes behavioral changes can be due to tumors in the brain, however these are more associated with pacing, panting, staring at all, circling, and other 'non-nonsensical' behaviours. If there has been a change in the house, (for example: a new baby or animal or person, renovations, etc.) then he could be responding to this. I would recommend a visit to the vet for a thorough check-up, and maybe some general bloodwork just to make sure there isn't anything medical going on. If that is all clear, then he is likely just showing you love. Best of luck with Bobby!

Human products are made for a different pH than what a dogs normal skin should be so long term use may cause problems. They do make different products for pets, such as conditioners, gels, and even dye base on what your need is. Any local petstore has all the supplies. My Lab loves rawhide. What are the best huge, long-lasting dog chews?
My favorite rawhide chews are sold through a company called Raw Feeding Miami (www.rawfeedingmiami.com). They have large, very durable rawhide rolls that are all-natural and made without any chemicals or artificial processing. They're quite thick and last a long time, even for big dogs - I would highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a good rawhide for Buddy :)

Looking for dog books for 12-year-olds on training, care, and health?
Perfect Puppy in 7 Days by Dr. Sophia Yin and The Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey are great training and dog raising books! 101 Dog Tricks, Kid Edition is a good one with pictures. The Complete Dog Book also has more medical information. I hope this helps and I think it is great a 12 year old is so interested in their dog!
