Do these rings make the water foggy? I rinsed them, and I’m getting white foggy water.
- After rinsing the water should be clear. I’ve never had this issue but this could be what is happening.

I'm adding a second hang on back filter to my 55g can I use ceramic rings instead of the filter cartridges to boost my bio filtration?
Is this biomax work with saltwater filter or freshwater filter ? Or work in both ?
Is this item basically the same at the Aquaclear Biomax filters? I usually bye the Aquaclear biomax 20 filters, which is for my 20 gallon tank. So wondering will the fluval be the same in function and size?
- Hi markyemark It is basically the same item and more than likely the same size pellet. It’s a ceramic nodule that holds living beneficial bacteria so the size is not a big deal if it is off, we are sure it will work. Thanks,
