Neosporin is safe to use, however I don't know how much it will help. It doesn't have any anti-inflammatory properties and the skin looks severely inflamed. You might consider an animal-specific hydrocortisone cream or ointment, as this may be more soothing. Placing loose bandages might also provide comfort as she is trying to walk also.

Puppies!!! This sore could be several things - urine scald and another puppy suckling this spot are likely. Watch the puppies closely to see if another pup is suckling or if mom is excessively licking this spot. The part may be getting infected. A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. It depends on what it is exactly. if the sore appears to be red, inflamed, draining, or has discharge coming from it, I'd recommend holding off on the neosporin and seeing your veterinarian to have it fully evaluated. Lilly may need a prescription medication from her vet in order for it to properly heal.

Hi. Poor little guy. Yes, loose stool after awhile can cause irritation. You can try the antibiotic cream as well as a small amount of hydrocortisone on ouster aspect. If it begins to look infected, you'll need to get him in. Also, I recommend getting the feces checked for parasites with your veterinarian. Good luck

From the pictures, I'm wondering if I can see a bit of bone there, and it may be his mother bit off the end of his tail. It could also just be dry skin. If he is eating, moving around, and is going to bathroom normally, this can wait until Monday. If he is not eating, is very lethargic, and/or isn't going to the bathroom normally, you need to take him into an ER vet immediately. Best of luck.

You can apply that medicine but it might not be strong enough. You can always try cortisone cream if it is red and inflamed or Neosporin if it is infected, which is sounds from the discharge you describe. If it is very moist from being in a skin fold sometimes medicated powder helps dry it out. You can also try creams for diaper rashes if it is in a skin fold. If there is no improvement or it seems to bother him to where he makes it worse, then he may need to be seen for oral medication.
