What will I see if I try to get a paw print from my buried pet?

I'm sure it was sad to see your old dog's remains get dug up, but I would not be too concerned. A year is a good enough time for the body to decompose and is usually not carrying as much infectious organisms as a newly deceased body would. Dogs are also very tolerant of bacteria and other infectious organisms, because they were meant to scavenge. Dogs eat dead and decaying things all the time and are usually not negatively affected by them. If it was going to cause a problem, then it would most likely only be a problem within the digestive tract. You would notice vomiting and diarrhea if this were the case. Diarrhea is usually self-limiting (will go away on its own), but if Biscuit has any of the following, the he should see a vet: 1) Blood in diarrhea 2) Very watery diarrhea 3) Dog starts acting very depressed 4) Dog stops eating or drinking for longer than 24 hours. 5) Diarrhea lasts longer than three days. I am so sorry for your loss. You can bury him in your back yard and put her body to rest. Maybe you can even say a few words to bless her body as you lay her to rest. If this is not possible then you can try contacting your local animal shelter or low cost clinic (a quick google search should bring one up) to see if they will take her body for you for you. I recommmend that you try to clean the room as much as possible and to give him some time for him to get used not having his sister around. This can take time just like when we lose someone we love. I don't think that it means she was in pain when she passed that her paw was in her mouth. If everything else about her position was relaxed then when she passed her mouth may have turned that way. She could have been biting her paw or licking it when she passed as well. I know it is hard to do, but try to think of all the good times and try not to get hung up on the paw being in her mouth.
