My dog has red spot & swollen nipples after grass. Allergies?

Hi it's possible that Jaxx had an allergic reaction to grass or plants that affected his scrotal skin. You should try to gently wash his skin to remove any pollen. He may have also rubbed himself raw if he's been humping things. If the skin is still red tomorrow, take him in to see the vet. They can recommend ointments that can soothe skin reactions. It's not likely from rolling on the grass, This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea Angel regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or cyclosporin in order to stop the allergy.

It's a possibility but i can't tell you for sure based on how it looks, if you suspect grass, avoid it completely for 1 month and check if it improves, if it does take her to the grass after this month, if it happens right away then you will know for sure it is grass.

It's probably an allergic reaction, you could give him a benadryl tablet, it may help reduce the rash, if it doesn't help and doesn't get any better within 48 hours you should take him to the vet to get it treated.
