My 1-year-old American Bulldog is acting funny. Should I see a vet?

It sounds like Romeo has a few different issues going on - watery eyes, possible fever, vomiting or gagging. This doesn't point to any particular disease, but definitely makes me want to have him go in to the vet for evaluation. He likely needs an exam and maybe blood work and x-rays to get a better idea of what is going on. Good luck!

I am sorry to hear about Pepe. If this is a new behavior for him we would be worried about a medical cause, including pain or a change in the brain (such as a tumor). I would recommend starting with an examination by your veterinarian to see if they can locate a medical problem that could be causing this sudden behavior change.

I would take him to the vet immediately. What you are describing sounds like an emergency. He could have bloat (where his stomach flips) or an issue with his heart and lungs. Since he is painful and uncomfortable it most likely is a serious issue not just stress.

Oh no, that's not good! Jessie could have suffered an injury to his spine or hips causing him to suddenly be unable to use his back legs. It's quite serious that he can't use them, and I would have him seen by a vet tonight for a physical exam and x-rays to diagnose what is causing his symptoms. Once a cause is found, the vet can treat him. Please bring Jessie into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see him now.

While it is not possible to know for sure what may be going on, I would be concerned that this could be something serious such as a toxicity of some sort or just not feeling well in general. Sorry, I see this was posted 3 days ago - not sure why it took so long for this question to be answered. The eye tends to close when it's in pain. A painful eye can be due to trauma to the outside of the eye; such as a scratch or possible bump on something. This breed tends to get these types of injuries, because of how much their eye sticks out. It could also be due to an infection of the eye and/or increased pressure in the eye. These conditions tend to be rather painful, so that would explain why Romeo is not as energetic. It is best to have a veterinarian look at the eye, so they can identify the problem and give him some medication to make it feel better. I hope that helps and Romeo feels better soon.
