Is Bach's Rescue Remedy safe for my puppy? Which version is best?

You are absolutely right, you cannot give it to Charlie if it contains xylitol. It's is extremely toxic to dogs, and it could kill him. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet about pet care, and many of it is wrong and deadly. That's why you should only ask your vet or a vet professional for advice.

While Rescue Remedy has not been tested properly for safety, it has been used for a while, and there haven't been any adverse side effects reported. Based on this, Milenko should be ok, but I would monitor him, and if he's still sleeping quite soundly by morning, I would take him into the vet. In the future, given that he seems to have a strong reaction to it, I would refrain from using it with Milenko.

Usually you would not need Bach remedy or any other herb to help your kitty recover from dental surgery. Your vet will give her antibiotics and pain medication and she should be ok. i would not give her anything by mouth after a dental surgery as there may be open wounds and you could cause an infection or contaminate the mouth. It is safer to just not manipulate her mouth. Your kitty will feel so much better after having her teeth cleaned and damaged teeth removed. Give her lots of TLC if she wants it, and all will be well. Glycerine acts as a stool softener in cats and can cause diarrhea.

I think the supplements should be safe. They by themselves may not be effective enough to stop the barking. Typically exercise is a huge part of controlling unwanted behavior. A tired puppy has less energy for bad behavior. Monty should be having at least 1 HARD play episode or walk/jog once to twice day. You could also look into something like doggie daycare for a few days a week. This tends to help these young dogs burn some energy! You could also try giving Monty 'projects' like a kong filled with treats and frozen peanut butter. There are bark collars that supposedly help control barking by a variety of means. Lastly, you may look into working with a trainer who may be able to help curb the behavior. I hope this helps!

Valerian root should not be used in young puppies without the advice of your veterinarian or certified veterinary homeopath. Another natural option is ginger which may be a safer and better tolerated. Search online for a dose based on Bella's body weight. Contact your veterinarian to discuss an appropriate dose of Dramamine which can be used in dogs. Cerenia, a prescription medication for nausea, is also an option if her condition is not helped by the aforementioned choices.

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I have never heard of that milk replacer. If it does not say it is safe to use in dogs then I would not use it. I attached a link for what I recommend. I hope this helps and I wish you the best! https://www.petco.com/shop/SearchDisplay?categoryId=&storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&sType=SimpleSearch&resultCatEntryType=2&showResultsPage=true&searchSource=Q&pageView=&beginIndex=0&pageSize=24&fromPageValue=search&searchTerm=Esbilac

Ideally no you cannot, as it can cause gastrointestinal signs like vomiting and diarrhoea. Puppy replacement milk is specifically designed for dogs.
