My cat came home very sick after being lost. What should I do?

Poor Gorilla! It would help to have more information about what he's doing that concerns you. From the photos, it looks like he has some discharge from his eyes and nose, which is usually a sign of an upper respiratory infection. He will need antibiotics from your veterinarian to treat this, so I would recommend taking him in for an exam as soon as you are able to. He/she can do a complete exam to check for any other problems during this visit, and will prescribe appropriate medication to get him feeling better depending on what is found.

The wound doesn't look infected or Bloody more like a scrape that has removed hair. I would simply keep him warm and comfortable until you get to the vets. Try and feed little and often as they can over indulge when they gave been away a while.

Cindy needs to see a vet immediately. She could have been injured while missing, and it sounds like she is in poor health. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. I am sorry This happened to kasey. I would recommend taking him to a veterinarian immediately. I am not sure what caused this but now kasey needs immediate care. Kasey is most likely dehydrated and if he is not eating he could get fatty liver disease which is very difficult to treat. The feces could be soft/ diarrhea secondary to stress , toxins or something he got into when he was lost. I hope kasey feels better soon

Oh poor Binx! How lovely of you to look after him! He will need to see a vet right away for this badly healing cut. It may be infected, and that would make him very lethargic. The cut likely needs to be cleaned, and he will probably need antibiotics to treat any infection. Please have him seen by a vet ASAP. If you plan on keeping Binx, I would recommend having him neutered once he's feeling better. That helps reduce roaming behaviors, and may help him from getting into fights. Entire cats typically fight over territory and females, and if he no longer has the sexual desire to mate, that behavior will be reduced.

It's impossible to know what happened to Melcho on his journey. What you are doing currently is the best you can do until a vet is open. Continue to syringe feed small frequent amounts of a/d and water. If available near you an oral electrolyte solution for kids with diarrhea such as pedialyte maybbe helpful to give him orally. Look for an unflavored version. Or water off of tuna fish cans or low sodium chicken broth can be used if he will lap it. Give him a warm area such as a heating pad on low if he wants it but don't force him to stay on a heating pad. Make sure he can move off of it if he desires. Small frequent feedings are key.
