My cat won't stop meowing after I came home from the hospital.

That's wonderful that Pringles was so excited to see you again! Vet clinics can be scary places with new smells and sounds. Often cats are fine if they are in a "safe" place like a kennel, but being carried around the clinic can be very scary. So, that may be why Pringles was crying. Hello, and thanks for your question about Mino. Cats can meow for lots of reasons, and some are naturally more vocal than others. This can change over. It’s definitely possible that she’s simply looking for social interaction from you - but she also could be asking for more food. Nursing is an enormous energy demand, and so nursing females do need to eat a bit more. So, she may be hungrier than usual! Keep an eye on her weight, and feel free to give her a bit extra food if you notice she’s slimming down at all. Otherwise, just give her a little extra love. :-) Hope this helps!

Since she was gone for so long, an examine with your veterinarian would be recommended. This may diagnose any underlying injury or infection. Frequently, either can be responsible for a sudden change in behavior. In the meantime, give her space and time to reacclimate to you. Don't force her to be held or pet. Offer treats and praise when she comes close. A pheromone product, such as Feliway Spray or plug in diffuser, may help to decrease any anxiety.

Unfortunately, I don't have a great answer for you about Stella. If she is acting otherwise normal and not exhibiting signs of illness, you may just monitor her for now. Cats can be reactive to things we don't know about, she could be smelling a cat outside or even just able to see if. She could also be bored. I would say its possible there could be a medical issue like maybe an infection in her ears or her bladder but many cats have these without vocalizing. I'm not convinced the vocalization is a medical problem but you don't know unless you get it checked out! I would try to stimulate Stella. Buy a treat ball online and feed her out of that, purchase a cat tree with a hiding area on the top, purchase some new toys and set time aside each day to play. You could also use a Feliway Diffuser and see if that changes her behavior at all. I hope I have at least answered some of your questions. Please post again with anything else you think of.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your cats. I suspect that Stella is stressed by the return of her housemate. Callie likely smells and acts a bit different after being gone for so long. I would keep them separate to allow them time to readjust to each other. They should get along fine, but it will take some time. I hope this information helps!

Feed him and water him and examine him closely for pain, blood or injuries, check his nail (whether they are frayed...if so, he may have been hit by a car), observe him walk and whether he is lame. If all is well, he is probably just very very happy to be home again with you. He may have been very scared outside considering he is usually an inside kitty. Give him lots of TLC. If he keeps crying or has any signs of an injury, or appears ill or hurt, you should take him to ta pet ER tonight.
