I would recommend that you take Halo to a pet store, like PetCo, so you can try out different types of harnesses. There are many different styles, and the best fit will depend on many factors, including the size and shape of Halo. If you use it with a tie-out, then make sure that it can't cinch down tighter when she pulls, since that could be uncomfortable and may cause breathing issues.

Unfortunately pictures aren't loading right now, and our tech team is working on it. The Help 'Em Up harness is my favorite in its comfort for the dog and its usefulness for the human. https://helpemup.com A GingerLead is helpful for temporary use.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This can of course be an issue as she could eat something tha perhaps upsets her stomach or even worse that causes an obstruction. The best thing is to teach her by continuously letting her know that that is unacceptable behavior. Otherwise, another option is using a basket muzzle when going outside which may prevent her from getting things in her mouth. Good luck and have a great day!

The most comprehensive protection you can get that is also the easiest to apply and has very, very few side effects would be Revolution. I highly recommend this. I will provide broad spectrum coverage for fleas, roundworms, hookworms, ear mites, scabies, etc. This will give you peace of mind. You can get this product easily by going to one of Petco's VETCO clinics inside their stores. Take Ford with you as the vet will need to see him. They do not charge an exam fee so all you will need to pay for is the product. Hope this helps. Is she food motivated? Using treats to entice and reward her maybe helpful. Also, seeking the advice from your veterinarian about using antianxiety pheromones and possibly medications may be helpful as she is adjusting. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
