Hello. Chewy does offer pharmaceutical drugs, but you will need a prescription from your veterinarian to order anything. You will need to see your vet anyway because there are no medications made specifically for rodents & the doses have to be very carefully calculated & often the medications compounded to make a safe dose for such a small pet. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

It looks like it is still available through Petsmart and Petco website for an online order, or you can wait until your vet opens on tomorrow to get it there if they keep it in stock. Typically your vet can get it ordered pretty quickly for their patients. Jaydee should be fine if it takes a week or two to get his Rx food. Visit your local pet store and get Hill's Science diet senior food (small bag) for now to hold him over.

My sincere apologies for the confusion, as well as the time you spent traveling and ultimately not being able to get help for Bandit. The Vetco Clinics only provide vaccinations and a few services for well patients, such as routine blood work, fecal exams, and the prescription of flea/tick and heartworm preventives. I will certainly pass your concerns along to the web design team to ensure that any confusion is resolved. In the meantime, I can let you know that we do have a housecall service in San Diego, and if you would like to get in touch with us by calling (858) 524-3370 or by emailing housecalls@Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.co, we'd be happy to schedule a home visit to get Bandit feeling better.

Hi there. I'm afraid the only thing you can get over the counter for a bacterial infection would be a topical spray such as Vetericyn or Nutri-Vet - these products can sometimes be effective for something like a minor, localized skin infection. For anything more serious, you'll need to get prescription antibiotics from your veterinarian. Vetco clinics only do wellness care (vaccines, fecal exams, etc.), not visits for any type of medical problem - so if you think that Gunner has an infection, I would recommend making an appointment with a regular full-service veterinary office in your area for an exam and treatment.

Vetco vaccine clinics in Petco stores are unfortunately not equipped to deal with any health problems such as eye infections or scratches. They are only set up for preventative health care which means vaccines, heartworm tests, deworming, microchips. I would recommend taking Luna to a full service veterinarian for this issue.
