Hello. If Pluto is doing well on a lamb based diet, then the lamb treats should be perfect for him. They do make hypoallergenic dog treats, but you may need to get them from your veterinarian. If Pluto has a relapse or breakthrough skin rash, immediately stop the lamb treats & you will most likely just need to stick with his kibble. The key to doing treats while a dog is on an elimination diet is to use treats that have the same ingredients as the food you are trying. Sometimes the easiest way to do this is to use canned food of the variety and flavor that you are using to put in a Kong or bake into treats. Other options would be to use sweet potato chews if the food you are feeding has sweet potatoes in it (which Zignature kangaroo does not) or giving dehydrated chews that are the same meat source that you are feeding (which will be a challenge for a kangaroo food). So, for the food you are feeding right now, the best option may be to use canned Zignature kangaroo to create treats for Lucy. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Hello. You do want to keep to this diet for the majority of his calories. Acceptable treats should make up less than 10% of his overall calories per day & include low fat yogurt ( 2-3 tbsp. 2-3 x weekly ), 1/4 of an apple, white rice, rye bread, 2-3 non-salted saltine crackers, 2-3 baby carrots per day, & small amounts of cooked beef, chicken & eggs. Avoid lots of meats & any high protein treats & no vitamin or mineral supplements. The daily Dasaquin is fine to use. Try to keep to the prescribed diet as much as possible. Brody is very handsome! I would not give any treats if he is on a hypoallergenic diet. I do have a recipe from Hills you can use to make treats with the food he is on. That way you are not adding anything extra to his diet. https://www.hillspet.com/dog-care/nutrition-feeding/healthy-homemade-dog-treats Thank you for using PetCoach.

No more than 10% of the dog's total daily calories should come from treats. Those two biscuits equal around 7% perfect of her daily calories, which is perfect! It's fine that 15% of her diet is the supplements, treats, and chews, keep up the good work!
