Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You can get Lilli some huts and nesting/bedding material to hide/play in. Guinea pigs enjoy burrowing/tunneling so things like huts and pipes are fun for them. You can find plenty of options in pet stores, or make things your self out of shredded paper, toilet paper rolls, PVC pipe, etc. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you may have!

That could potentially cause gastrointestinal obstructions and should be ideally avoided. Nibblers and chew toys are designed to serve the purpose of keeping the teeth short enough to eat comfortably and they are easily found in any pet shop. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

Oh my, he is so adorable. My advise is be patient. If he has not been handled a lot they are usually very skittish. Keep talking to him and holding him so he gets used to you and your touch. He will come out once he becomes more comfortable in his new surroundings. He should have a good pellet diet with vitamin C, have timothy hay at all times and you can offer him a variety of green leafy vegetables and fruits. The darker green the better like parsley, spinach, etc. He will learn about those yummy treats and they will usually come running to you!! Make sure he is eating and drinking and you are seeing lots of feces. give him time and I think he will learn to trust you and be less skittish.

You want to make sure to use a dust free bedding. The two that I recommend are Carefresh and Aspen pellets. Good ventilation and low dust are very important for the health of guinea pig lungs. Please feel free to post any additional questions.

Congrats on your new hedgehog, and thanks for using PetCoach! As hedgehogs love burrowing, if you aren't providing a deep layer of bedding for her to burrow in, a small enclosure would be the next most ideal. There are many commercially available huts, sleep shacks, and bags that ST.Hedgie would love, and it will really depend on your needs and her likes. Some hedgehogs prefer the plastic, dome-type huts, and some prefer soft sacks. Cleaning will be easiest with plastic, but she may prefer a fabric house, so be prepared to appropriately clean the house of her choosing on a regular basis. Here are some options: Soft, hanging hut: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/small-animal/small-animal-sleepers-hideaways/multipet-pineapple-house-small-animal-hideaway-in-yellow Plastic castle hut: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/small-animal/small-animal-sleepers-hideaways/you-and-me-small-animal-hideaway Grassy hut: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/small-animal/small-animal-sleepers-hideaways/peters-woven-grass-hide-a-way-hut-for-rabbits Good luck, and I hope you have great fun with ST.Hedgie!
