Best e-collar brands & how to condition for puppy chewing/recall?
Sport dog is a good brand with several levels of correction. This will not be effective for chewing unless you are always there to correct her. If she chews when you are not home there is no way to know or enforce or correct this. For any training you have to ask them to perform something they know, such as sit. If they do not do it you push the button. If they do well then you reward them. Keep them on a leash while training. When you ask them to come, you pull the leash. If there is no interest then you correct them. They will learn to associate the two things together quickly to respond

My dog escapes the yard. Is a training collar best for containment?
I think an underground fence or an electric fence that has a home base (see link below) might be the best solution. Petsafe is a good company who makes these products. It shouldn’t scare her further away but it should keep her inside the boundaries. I would keep the level on low to keep her from becoming scared to go in the yard. This is the safest thing to prevent her from getting out and either getting lost or injured. There is also a GPS tracking device for the collar called whistle that you can use to keep up with her if she still gets out. Preparing for dog recovery: small crate cost & regular food?
That's cool that the recovery suit will work for her then. The cost of crates vary by location, so I would check costs in pet stores, as well as checking online sites that resell things (like Ebay if you have that in Bosnia & Herzegovina). You may be able to buy one second hand. Yes, she can eat her regular food :-)

My dog is crated all day. Is this okay? How to keep him stimulated?
More and more people are allowing dogs to be in their house with them, but dogs sleep about 14 hours a day, so it really doesn't matter where they are during those 14 hours. They key is to have the remaining 10 hours involve good quality time. Depending on the dog, that may involve walks, playing with toys, playing with other dogs, or playing with humans. If you have having behavior problems with Edgar because he seems bored, then I would certainly try to find ways to stimulate him more either inside or outside his cage. One thing that people think of first is treats that keep them busy for a longer period of time. You can use long lasting treats like a Kong filled with peanut butter, yogurt, treats, etc and frozen so it takes longer for him to eat. My dog also really like Bully Sticks which I also freeze to make them last a little longer. Keep him mentally and physically busy during meal times. I love using a feeding balls like a Buster Cube or Tricky Treat ball to feed meals in. It keeps dogs busy for at least 5-10 minutes at each meal and requires them to work. There are also a number of interactive dog games and toys available now. Outward Hound makes a number of toys that your dog has to figure out a puzzle of some type before they get a treats. My dog chews bedroom items at night. Any non-crate solutions?
Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bad Sam! Can you leash him to the foot of your bed so he can't wander off to other things? If that doesn't work or isn't possible I think it is fine and not cruel to crate him at night. He should be sleeping anyway and it will also keep HIM and your stuff safe. Good luck!
