Yes, Solid Gold is a good quality food that has been around for many years and has a good reputation. I think it is often a good idea to rotate protein sources and can help dogs be less picky. If Sky has a sensitive stomach, you should change protein sources gradually over a couple of days to prevent an upset stomach. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Charlie. First, it is fine to switch dog food brands, but you will need to transition slowly. You should mix the foods and gradually change the proportions of old and new. This will help to prevent any vomiting or diarrhea from the the change. Next, he should eat a large breed puppy food to best meet his nutritional needs. Personally, I use Purina, Hill's, Royal Canin or Iams. These are large companies with veterinarians on staff to research and formulate their diets. They also tend to offer of a variety of products to fit different budgets. I hope this information helps!

I would say Joey is a large breed dog based on his mix of breeds. I recommend feeing him a high quality large breed dog food. These foods will have joint support, which is great for bigger dogs. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!

Decreasing her eating amount after a growth spurt is normal. They probably recommended large breed puppy so she wouldn’t grow to fast which can cause bone problems. Once she’s full grown I recommend regular adult food. No reason to do either large breed or small breed since she will be medium size. I don’t think grain free food is worth it. I like a well balanced dog food such as Hills. They do research on their food and include the optimum amount of nutrients, rather than excess. Your breed could become overweight so please adjust the quantity of food to keep her on the lean side. Hills does have some Natural foods, and many speciality foods such as those for sensitive skin and stomach, joints, weight management, and for medical problems also. My dogs start on Hills and stay on for life, changing the specific food as they grow, and even into their senior years, or with medical problems. There is a lot of advertising to sell different dog foods but I like to base my choice on scientific research, not hype. Congratulations on your new puppy Diggy! In general I like the brand Royal Canin. The dogs that I see (including my own) that eat that diet tend to have nice hair coats and good stool quality. They make a variety of breed specific and size specific diets. The breeds for the small dogs also have enzymes that make harder for bacteria to cling to teeth (which helps reduce tartar build up). I also like Purina ProPlan and Iams. Please post again if you have any further questions!
