Petco carries a variety of flea and tick medication over the counter. You can only get a prescription product from a veterinarian if they have examined Bruno. Great question! If Diesel has sensitive skin, I recommend using an oral flea and tick medication. Simparica is an oral flea and tick medication, as is Bravecto and Nexgard. I recommend using one of them. I hope this helps!
