Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I would put her on a Glucosamine AND Omega 3 fish oils. I like Dasquinn treats and for fish oils I prefer VRS Omega Benefits but it is a liquid. Otherwise try Nordic naturals. The Omega fish oils helps the joints and skin and the glucosamine is just for the joints. https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=34361 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=24785 https://www.vrshealth.com/feline-products/omegacat/ I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Congratulations!! Bruno is adorable! Bruno needs to start his puppy vaccines. He should receive a DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvo and parainfluenza) vaccine every 3-4 weeks starting around 7-8 weeks of age until he receives two past 12 weeks. He should get his rabies vaccine between 12-16 weeks. He can start being dewormed as well. Having him dewormed and Rabies vaccination will protect your family. Keep up with his vaccinations into adulthood as they do have expiration dates. Deworm yearly. I recommend puppy food until 1 year of age. I like Purina proplan, hills science diet and Royal Canin. As a puppy his energy level is like a new born. Play for a bit then sleep. Around 4 months they are awake more. So playing with him when awake and 2-3 walks a day are appropriate. Distance can increase with age and endurance. See below for links on training. I wish you and Bruno the best! https://www.petcoach.co/article/basic-dog-puppy-training-rules/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/rewards-are-necessary-when-training-dogs-and-puppies/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/training-fitness-for-sporting-dogs/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/interacting-with-your-pet/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/5-obedience-commands-every-dog-should-know/

Nikki is adorable! Thank you so much for posting pictures. You posted about a number of concerns, so hopefully I can address all of them. As far as her teeth go, it is always recommended to have a full dental cleaning under anesthesia to resolve any underlying problems and pain, then follow up with something like a water additive to decrease additional dental calculus from forming. My favorite dental product is PetSmile, but it does need to be applied to the teeth. https://petsmileusa.com There has been a lot of evidence that increasing the amount of Omega 3 fatty acids in the diet can make a big difference for inflammation and itching. Since a diet change and adding Omega 3 fatty acids to the diet can both cause loose stool, I normally only recommend that clients make one change to a diet at a time (which includes supplements). Both Acana and Wellness make a wonderful fish based diet, so I do not have a preference between the 2 of those. Make sure you do a gradual diet change over a period of days to prevent any GI upset and loose stools. Then, if you still need to add in an Omega 3 fatty acid supplement, you could add something like Nordic Naturals. https://www.nordicnaturals.com/petRet/ Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your questions. Thanks for using PetCoach.

Hello. Thank you for using PetCoach. Peanut is very handsome! The most common thing that happens as large breed dogs age is arthritis so I would just put him on a good all around supplement that contains joint supplements in it. I love this supplement by Missing Link. http://www.allivet.com/p-1647-missing-link-vet-canine-plus.aspx Some signs he may have arthritis are: * having a hard time getting up from a down position * not jumping up on the couch, bed, etc like he normally does (if he does that) * slowing down on walks (like he doesn't seem like he can go as far as he used to) Even if he is not showing signs of arthritis I would put him on a joint supplement. The other thing I would recommend is yearly blood testing with your vet to check his organ function. Declining organ function is not something you can see from the outside just by looking at your dog. Usually by the time you do see something abnormal it is often too late to do anything about it. It is better to test yearly so you can catch things early. Peanut looks to be in great shape! You are doing a great job! Hope this answers your questions. Please post again if you have more question. Best wishes.
