If he is eating a good quality large breed puppy food, he should not need vitamin supplementation. If you want to give him one, you can't go wrong with Pet Tabs ( https://www.zoetisus.com/products/dogs/pet-tabs.aspx ). A joint supplement, such as Cosequin ( https://www.cosequin.com/ ) or Dasuquin ( https://www.dasuquin.com/en/products/ ), can also be started. Additionally, keep Brandy lean and active.

Hi, thank you for using Pet Coach. In the past it was thought puppy foods may have caused joint problems in larger breed dogs. However, puppies do require a different balance of protein and minerals than adult dogs. I strongly recommend feeding puppy food for all breeds of puppies. Depending on Zoey's projected adult size she should get a growth formula based on her size. Royal Canin has breed specific nutrition lines. https://www.royalcanin.com/breed?utm_campaign=Brand_Royal+Canin_Breed_Phrase&utm_medium=Paid_Search&utm_source=bing&utm_content=cpc&utm_term=royal+canin+breed+food&gclid=CLG2odKQktoCFakRfwod-ykMvw&gclsrc=ds

Great question! Puppies should not need supplements as long as they are on a quality, balanced food. I am not sure what foods are available in Ghana, but I like Royal Canin, Purina One, Iams, or Science Diet/Hills. These diets are tested and their ingredients have the balanced vitamins and minerals Fierce needs. Make sure you are feeding a Large Breed Puppy formula until she is about 1 year of age. The bag will tell you how much to feed daily based on her age and weight. If you are training with treats, make sure she is still getting her recommended about of dog food and not too many treats. Good luck and kisses to Fierce!

There is no food that promotes extra bone growth. It is best to feed your pet a balanced large breed food that helps promote normal bone growth, such as Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Eukanuba, Natural Balance or Fromm large breed puppy. To promote healthy joints and combat arthritis, it is recommended to wait until your pet is at least 1 year of age, then you can start daily joint supplements such as Dasuquin, Rejuvenate or Cosequin. Also its best to not over-exert your puppy while he is growing. This means don't have rough play or exercise for more than 20-30 min increments, 3 times a day. I hope this helps and best wishes with your growing puppy Tobi! Take care.

I'm not familiar with gout as a condition for dogs, so this answer is for joint health but not specific to a dog with gout. There is a food called J/D made by Hills that contains joint supplements that could helpful for her. Your vet will need to prescribe it and can make sure that it makes sense for her intestinal situation. Otherwise, a general adult diet from Hills, Purina, or Royal Canin with a glucosamine supplement would be good.
