It looks like it is still available through Petsmart and Petco website for an online order, or you can wait until your vet opens on tomorrow to get it there if they keep it in stock. Typically your vet can get it ordered pretty quickly for their patients. Jaydee should be fine if it takes a week or two to get his Rx food. Visit your local pet store and get Hill's Science diet senior food (small bag) for now to hold him over.

Hello. If she is eating, drinking & still passing stools, then she may not need surgery. You definitely want to increase her intake of fluids. Supply low sodium broths or stocks for her to drink in addition to her fresh water. Switch to a wet diet & add a moderate amount of additional liquid to this, but not too much. You do not want to dilute the nutritional density of her food too much. Take 2 slices of bread & slather each piece with a layer of Vaseline & try to get her to eat this a piece at a time. If you can get one slice in her now, you can do the second piece later on or this evening. Hopefully this will lubricate her gut & push the rest of the material out of her. But if she stops eating & vomits everything, becomes bloated or shows abdominal pain, you will need to make a decision about her care. Hopefully, she will continue to pass things over the next 24 hours. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Hi there and thank you for using PetCoach! Sounds like he is having quite fun in the snow! You can try using pee pads in the house or using a product called Fresh Patch ( www.freshpatch.com ). More frequent walks outside may also help stop this inappropriate urination and then rewarding him when he does urinate outside every time will help reinforce him going outside. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Good question! In general it is best to purchase these medications from your veterinarian. When purchased through a veterinarian the company will most often guarantee the effectiveness. This is usually not the case with products bought online or over the counter. When sold through a veterinarian the company that manufactures the product will stand behind the product and often pay for medical treatment should the product not work for some reason. The veterinarian also knows how to properly store the product so that it does not get damaged or becomes ineffective. Finally, sometimes over the counter products or products sold online can be counterfeit or even dangerous to use. Your veterinarian also knows what particular products tend to be most effective for your location.

You can find a couple of over the counter foods in the following link that are adequate for urinary tract diseases but non of the non prescription diets are as good as the prescription diets and this is something you must understand: https://herepup.com/best-dog-food-for-urinary-health/
