Hello and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is not the best idea to give Olie sweet food. Eating too much sugar and carbohydrates can lead to problems with obesity in dogs, just like in people. It is better to stick with healthier treats - you may want to try offering Olie a piece of carrot or small piece of sweet potato instead of sweets.

Brody is very handsome! I would not give any treats if he is on a hypoallergenic diet. I do have a recipe from Hills you can use to make treats with the food he is on. That way you are not adding anything extra to his diet. https://www.hillspet.com/dog-care/nutrition-feeding/healthy-homemade-dog-treats Thank you for using PetCoach.

Hello. If Pluto is doing well on a lamb based diet, then the lamb treats should be perfect for him. They do make hypoallergenic dog treats, but you may need to get them from your veterinarian. If Pluto has a relapse or breakthrough skin rash, immediately stop the lamb treats & you will most likely just need to stick with his kibble. Thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

The key to doing treats while a dog is on an elimination diet is to use treats that have the same ingredients as the food you are trying. Sometimes the easiest way to do this is to use canned food of the variety and flavor that you are using to put in a Kong or bake into treats. Other options would be to use sweet potato chews if the food you are feeding has sweet potatoes in it (which Zignature kangaroo does not) or giving dehydrated chews that are the same meat source that you are feeding (which will be a challenge for a kangaroo food). So, for the food you are feeding right now, the best option may be to use canned Zignature kangaroo to create treats for Lucy. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There is a chocolate coating but that volume of chocolate is not enough to be toxic to a mastiff. Even though a Toffee Pop isn't toxic for a dog it is sugary. Dogs shouldn't get sweet treats as they can get cavities just like people and they do not brush their teeth. It would be best to provide Big Foot more nutritious treats appropriate for dogs. Have a great day!
