Leave the lights on so he can acclimate and see they is no danger. Don't force him to go into the room or near the lights. If and when he does, praise and reward him. Consider a pheromone product such as the Adaptil collar or DAP plug in diffuser to decrease any anxiety.

Hello. If Pluto is doing well on a lamb based diet, then the lamb treats should be perfect for him. They do make hypoallergenic dog treats, but you may need to get them from your veterinarian. If Pluto has a relapse or breakthrough skin rash, immediately stop the lamb treats & you will most likely just need to stick with his kibble. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center! I personally like the Purina Pro Plan diets as well as the Hill's Science Diet foods as I think they are both palatable and highly nutritious. In terms of treats, I think the milk bones products are both nutritious, palatable and reasonably priced. Good luck and best wishes!

Yes there are some over the counter products you can try such as the thunder shirt or an Adaptil collar or diffuser. However if you want something that will work without fail I would try Alprazolam or Valium but these require a prescription through your vet so schedule an appt soon. I hope everything works out for your pets and happy holidays.

My favorite rawhide chews are sold through a company called Raw Feeding Miami (www.rawfeedingmiami.com). They have large, very durable rawhide rolls that are all-natural and made without any chemicals or artificial processing. They're quite thick and last a long time, even for big dogs - I would highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a good rawhide for Buddy :)
