Poor kitty! No, this would not be a nutritionally complete diet for cats - he needs to be eating a commercial cat food to provide the nutrients he needs. If your friend is syringe-feeding him, he should use a canned cat food that is soft enough to pass through the syringe.

Is it safe to mix Pedigree puppy food with PetLac milk for my puppy?
Prepare the PetLac according to the directions on the label. Pour that into the puppy food and soak until it is soft, then mix it up so your puppy can eat it easily. Ideally, a puppy should stay with the mother and litter until at least 8 weeks of age. Since your pup is so young, you will need to keep a close watch on her weight and condition. Weigh her daily to confirm weight gain. Keep her warm and dry. Have her examined by your veterinarian to confirm good health. She will need to be dewormed and you can discuss vaccines with the vet. I am unsure of what brands of food are available in India. You can visit the pet store and then post the brands in another question so we can recommend a good quality food for your puppy.

The best thing to feed is a kitten milk replacer, which you can purchase at PetCo. At this age you can also start introducing solid kitten food, moistened with water or milk, and they should be gong showing interest in this. I would also recommend having your kittens dewormed since most kittens become infected with intestinal parasites. I hope this helps. Best of luck. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! How nice of you to take care of Lilly! She is very cute and it seems like she feels right at home. Lilly looks like a young adult and if you want to feed her the same urinary diet as your other cat that is absolutely fine. Otherwise I like Hill's, Royal Canin, Iams and Purina brands of foods.
