Your options include returning her for exam and treatment if indicated, exchanging her completely or taking her to your own veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles for an exam. Hello, Many Petcos will accept surrendered pets. It depends on individual location. Call your local store and if they do not accept surrenders, they should be able to tell you the closest location to you that does. I hope this is helpful. What's the Petco age limit for buying a live animal without a parent?
Customers under the age of 18 cannot purchase live Companion Animals or Aquatic Life without a parent or guardian present. (Excluding crickets and worms). Due to the demands of time and intricate care required with certain species, it is in the best interest of the animals to not sell to minors. Parental permission at time of sale will ensure a better home for the animal and lower our rate of return.

My baby turtle won't eat the food from Petco. What should I do?
Offer a varied diet including pelleted food, fresh greens and prey such as tiny crickets or earthworms. You can get prey from the pet store, do not feed wild caught insects. It may take a day or two for him to acclimate to his new environment. Keep offering fresh food daily. Be sure environmental parameters are appropriate for the species of turtle you have. This includes adequate heat, UVB lighting and water quality. If you know the species, post it in a new question or request a consultation for more detailed care information.
