My active cat is picky. What food brands will he actually eat?
It looks like you have tried a lot of foods! Some cats are extremely picky. The most palatable high quality brands are Royal Canin, Purina ProPlan and Nutro. Best cat food for new cat: no by-products, soy, corn, or fillers?
Any food from a name brand source, science diet, Purina, Iams, royal canin, are typically well balanced for cats. There is specific label that says AAFCO.. you do want to make sure this on there as it means it was tested and approved to standards. Each company makes certain formulas and flavors that you can pick from to select the best ingredients you want such as natural balance by science diet

What's the best food for my cat? Dry, wet, or specific brands?
Science diet and Purina have very good cat formulas for cats. I would find one that is appropriate for your cats age and health status. For example, they make a hairball formula if that is problem or an over weight formula if weight loss is needed there is no benefit of feeding dry over canned, so it is personal preference for that.
