Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. From the pictures it appears that Dune may be dealing with a skin infection. If you are unable to get him in to be seen by the veterinarian, I would recommend the below products, which can all be found online quite easily. Do this for about 3-4 weeks and if there is no improvement, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Dune so that the most appropriate treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. 1. Douxo PS Chlorhexidine Combination and bathe twice weekly until resolved 2. Malacetic conditioning spray and apply 2-3 times per day on the affected areas until resolved 3. Welactin omega 3 fish oil capsules for dogs 4. Essential 6 Spot On by Dermoscent

I would suggest you try one of these: ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Pooch-Conjunctivitis-Allergies-Irritation/dp/B01N0BX1LT/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1524655434&sr=8-2&keywords=isathal ) ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vetericyn-Care-Wash-safely-around/dp/B00VV8ZVP4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1524655434&sr=8-5&keywords=isathal ) The isathal does not appear to be very expensive. Will your vet call a prescription in to pharmacy like this one? Best wishes.

Poor Maxx. Allergies are no fun, you can try a few at home remedies, but if he doesn't get relief he honestly may need a veterinary visit. Antihistamines can be hit or miss in dogs but you can certainly try Benadryl twice daily if it gives him some relief. You can also soak his feet in lukewarm Epsom salt solution once or twice daily. Malaseb shampoo may help if there is any yeast or bacterial infection component to his itching. When using the medicated shampoos I typically recommend lathering them up, especially affected areas and allowed to soak for up to 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing. If you have a crate or someplace Maxx can hang out while sudsy that helps. And for dogs that will not leave their feet alone I strongly recommend getting an E collar. Sometimes you have to break the cycle of the scratching and licking before seeing any improvement. If there are open sores or very raw areas I would recommend trying to do a veterinary visit as that indicates secondary infection and will likely need systemic treatment as well. I hope Max gets some relief soon thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Human products can be used but you’ll need to keep him in a cone so he doesn’t lick the medication. Veterinary products are recommended since they are designed for pets. They have several over the counter medications at PetCo that will be effective to treat his spots. I recommend bathing him first in a medicated shampoo then using a hotspot type medication on the sores. If they aren’t healing or getting worse then please take him in for an exam and treatment. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Soleil.

Yes, there is an OTC in the form of antihistamines, but legally I cannot recommend it for you to use on her, nor can I give you the dose. That's because doing so requires a veterinary client patient relationship which cannot be achieved via an internet forum. In addition, I cannot say for certain if a specific drug is safe for your dog. I would give your vet a call to get the name of the OTC option as well as the dosage.
