Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Many veterinarians will carry Hill’s prescription diets. I recommend calling to see who may carry it. As it is a prescription diet they may require a prescription or call from your veterinarian in order to sell the food.

I would recommend consulting a veterinary nutritionist or using a website like https://secure.balanceit.com/index.php which provides recipes for balanced diets for pets, as it can be difficult to provide balanced nutrition from homemade diets. This website provides recipes based on your pet's needs.

Cats should eat a high protein, low carb diet. The protein should be of animal, not plant origin. You can find a variety of wet and dry foods at your local Petco or online ( https://www.petco.com/category/cat/cat-food ). Cats should not eat fatty foods. You should also avoid chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, grapes/raisins, onions/garlic or dairy products.

You can buy a cat from Craig's list for example, but I do not recommend buying a cat sight unseen. I never recommend that. You should always check out the home where it's coming from, you can assess it's condition, and seeing the cat makes sure you are getting the animal you have paid for. In addition, there are no websites where you can just buy a cat and have it shipped to you. I hope this helps.
