Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There are several diets available in the market as you have probably noticed. I personally prefer Purina, Royal canin and Science Diet foods as they are of high quality and have research to back up their use. Any of their variations should be good for Maddi. Good luck and have a great day!

I don't normally recommend Meow Mix, as it's a very low-quality food with lots of fillers, artificial dyes, etc. I'm not sure what's available in Jordan, but if possible, I would prefer Iams, Purina, or Royal Canin - you can see if your local pet store carries these brands, or order them online or through your veterinary clinic if needed.

Wellness, Weruva and Royal Canin are all good choices. When it comes to a canned food, look for one with a named protein source of animal (not plant) origin. Choose a food that comes from the can looking like a hockey puck. Avoid foods with gravies or sauces. These are typically higher in carbs which can predispose a cat to obesity. Avoid meat meals, by-products as well as store or discount brands. These latter two contain low quality ingredients and more fillers.

Any food from a name brand source, science diet, Purina, Iams, royal canin, are typically well balanced for cats. There is specific label that says AAFCO.. you do want to make sure this on there as it means it was tested and approved to standards. Each company makes certain formulas and flavors that you can pick from to select the best ingredients you want such as natural balance by science diet

She can eat just about anything she likes being hyperthyroid, as there are no specific diet recommendations for hyperthyroidism. As long as she continues her medication daily, then she can be on any senior diet food. that she likes. Some recommend high quality brands are Hill's Science Diet, Royal Canin, Eukanuba or Evo. Best of luck with your cat Stascha and her thryoid condition. Take care!
