Limited ingredient diets come with one major benefit - pet parents are able to identify exactly what goes into their dog's body and avoid any specific ingredients. While a suitable diet for many dogs, LID diets can also be great for dogs with food sensitivities.

The only way to find out whether this Lil Plates food will make him sick is to try it out. It would be best to stick with a food that he has no adverse reactions to. While it is very nice of your mother to want him to have a tastier option, it is better if she does not change his food. You might have to have a (nice) talk with her,

Hello and thank you for your post! In regards to these types of meals, they are meant to be full meals. However, most of these are high in fat and can cause dietary indiscretion. I would be concerned about weight gain with these meals. I typically prefer more balanced foods such as Science Diet, Royal Canin, Eukanuba or natural balance.

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Being a smaller dog, he May not necessarily be getting bored with his kibble. Smaller dogs can be quite picky and selective about what they eat. Especially if they've already been introduced to flavorful dog treats and/or people food. For itchy skin I like Natural Balance LID (Limited Ingredient Diet). The Organix wet food you fed may have been the 3.5oz stew bowl and those may be too rich for Cookie. So you could try just the 12.7 oz cans instead of go with Natural Balance LID dry and wet.

Some quality food brands that would be good options for Daisy include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, and Purina One. All of these brands have good quality canned and dry options. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

As far as dog food goes, I tend to recommend Hill's Science Diet or the higher end Purina products. If you are looking to go a more natural route you would want to try something like Earthborn or Acana. Periodontal disease can be delayed with regular teeth brushing if Ratchett will allow it. You should be able to purchase most of what I mentioned at one of those stores. Hope this makes sense.
