Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If this is a behavior that you would like to stop, I find that using a spray bottle filled with water and spraying a dog lightly in the face helps to correct the behavior. Also, using an empty can filled with coins and shaking it loudly can help as well. I used both techniques on my dog and it worked quite well. The can trick was by far the most effective in my case. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. Please remember to rate this answer as helpful or not. Thank you!

I would recommend using a spray bottle filled with water or something that is moist to startle her when she barks like this. If she tries to jump up in the bed say "off!" And use the spray bottle to lightly spritz her in the face. Enough times of this will get her to stop. Then when she sees the water bottle out by the bed, she will likely not try to get up. When she starts barking you can use something noisy such as a can filled with coins or bells and throw it near her to startle her. Enough times of this will hopefully get her to stop barking. The key with these training techniques is persistence and patience. A lot of times they will work but you need to be patient with her and the techniques described. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. I would recommend using a spray bottle filled with water and every time Woody barks, spray him in the face and say "off!". I would also recommend using a citronella collar, which can help deter Woody from barking. Jumping on people I would use the same technique with the spray bottle and even something loud such as an empty can filled with coins that you can shake loudly at Woody to stop the behavior. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions / or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. Please take the time to mark this question as helpful or not as it helps us to improve on the quality of our answers to other pet owners. Thank you kindly!

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. This is undesired behavior and it is ideal to correct now while she is young and small. I would recommend leash training her and using treats as positive reinforcement for good behavior. If she stops biting you when you say "off" or "no" then you should reward her with a treat. Another training method is negative reinforcement. When she does the undesired behavior, a spray bottle filled with water is used to spritz her in the face while saying "off" or "no". If training is unsuccessful you might want to consider contacting a trainer for advice and for puppy training classes. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Training dogs to stay off furniture is very difficult. Dogs are situational learners and he thinks that he can get on the furniture when you are not watching. The positive response in his brain happens every time he gets on the couch and since he does it when you're not looking, it reinforces it's self. You either need to block access to the room with a baby gate, put something like chairs on the couch or they do make an electric collar with a small disc that you place under the couch and set a radius. If Bow comes within the radius, he will get a zap and thus not approach the coach. It all depends on how you wish to approach the situation. I hope this helps to point you in the right direction. Please feel free to post any additional questions!
