I'm sorry that you are dealing with this with Doughnut. I would talk to your vet about suggestions for her anxiety. We know that anxiety and stress worsens the immune system, so it is worth finding a way to decrease Doughnut's anxiety. There are a number of options to try. I love Feliway diffusers for any anxiety. https://www.feliway.com/uk I have also had good luck with Rescue Remedy. http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-pets-bach-flower/ There are a large number of supplements and medications that can be used for anxiety, but I always try to limit the number of medications that I have to give to an anxious cat. I would also discuss with your vet if you can have Doughnut's medication compounded into a liquid or a treat to make it easier to give to her. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and gives you some ideas to try. Thanks for using PetCoach.

To differentiate mite and fungal infection, a skin scrape and hair plugs and culture are necessary. First of all the underlying cause MUST be diagnosed. After that the appropriate treatment can be given. It is quite useless and pointless to give treatment trial up to the point (if you reach that point!) the skin lesion is resolved. I would recommend to discuss it with your local veterinarian. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

1. Get her some antibiotics: https://www.petsworld.in/corise-clivet-suspension-20-ml.html 2. Apply this salve to her wounds. It also has a fly repellent in it. If you don't do this, she will get maggots in the wounds. https://www.petsworld.in/himalaya-scavon-cream-50-gm.html 3. Feed her some high quality, high calorie food like kitten wet food: https://www.petsworld.in/royal-canin-kitten-instinctive-cat-food-1-2-kg.html 4. Keep her inside for at least one week so she can heal.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yeast infections are uncommon in cats. Ring work (fungal infection) might be what you are referring to. Has Candy been diagnosed by a Vet to have ring worm? The treatment of diagnosed ring worm in cats is an ORAL anti-fungal medications and/or Lyme sulfur dips. I do not recommend using an ointment that Candy could lick off her fur and ingest. Lyme sulfur dips can be found at a Veterinary hospital or online. I hope this helps and good luck!
