This could be a novel protein diet if Trixie has never had tuna or pumpkin before, but most cats have had tuna in food at some point in their lives. Natural Balance also does not have a boarded nutritionist on staff and I believe Royal Canin has more quality control measures in place to ensure there is no contamination. Ultimately it comes down to what works best for Trixie - check in with your vet, but I’d guess that it’s fine to try this food and see if she has a flare up of her symptoms.

Thans for reaching out about Hela. Ferratone is a product that works as a laxative, usually for the treatment and possible prevention of hairballs. Ferrovite is a vitamin supplement. If using a good quality ferret food, additional vitamins are probably not needed as the food is well supplemented. The emu oil is basically a fat/energy/calorie source as is probably not necessary. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out about Lilly and including a photo. Always worried about any product that is names "Complete". Nutrients are not listed and not familiar with this product.. As a part of the diet, should be adequate but probably needs to be supplemented with other foods. Good luck.

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I would put her on a Glucosamine AND Omega 3 fish oils. I like Dasquinn treats and for fish oils I prefer VRS Omega Benefits but it is a liquid. Otherwise try Nordic naturals. The Omega fish oils helps the joints and skin and the glucosamine is just for the joints. https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=34361 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=24785 https://www.vrshealth.com/feline-products/omegacat/ I hope this helps!

You are welcome for the article! Basically what the article is saying that there isn't a lot of research done in supplements in animals, and really need more research done to determine they are beneficial or not. I certainly always recommend glucosamine to my clients in terms of joint problems, and I do feel it's beneficial. Fish oil can be beneficial well, but it's important not to give too much because that can lead to an interference in wound healing. I think the supplements you are giving now are fine :-)
