The problem with home cooked meals is that they are often unbalanced nutritionally. There are two websites that offer recipes for home cooked diets that are made by veterinary nutritionists. I would check out these sites to get recipes to cook for Pali. https://secure.balanceit.com https://www.petdiets.com

Yes a well balanced home cooked meal is definitely better than dried, pre-prepped food that has preservatives. Here are some websites that should be able to assist you in achieving this. https://secure.balanceit.com/ <- has recipes for certain conditions in pets as well! https://www.petdiets.com/ And yes you are correct, pets are healthier on an home-cooked diet regimen.

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yes, the cooked meat is likely safe to eat. But every dog is different when it comes to sensitivities to certain foods. If Jenny hasn't had this before watch for tummy upset (vomit, diarrhea, lethargy, not eating). The bone is very hard and can crack and break dog teeth, so it isn't recommended for chewing. I wish you the best and have a great holiday!

Hi there! If you want to do a home-cooked diet for Temperance, I would highly recommend using the site www.balanceit.com. It was founded by a veterinary nutritionist, and will walk you through the step-by-step process of creating a balanced diet using the ingredients you choose, including any necessary additives or supplements :)
