Best wet dog food for small adult dog with dental disease at Petco?
As far as dog food goes, I tend to recommend Hill's Science Diet or the higher end Purina products. If you are looking to go a more natural route you would want to try something like Earthborn or Acana. Periodontal disease can be delayed with regular teeth brushing if Ratchett will allow it. You should be able to purchase most of what I mentioned at one of those stores. Hope this makes sense.

My vet recommended Taste of the Wild for Maltese anal gland issues. Is it right?
Taste of the Wild is one of the better quality diets available. Feed it to Bella exclusively for a minimum of 6-8 weeks then re-evaluate her anal gland issues. Adding additional fiber may help by aiding defecation which is what causes the glands to empty. Add one teaspoon of plain canned pumpkin (NOT pie filling) to the diet once or twice daily. Every dog is a little different and you may have to experiment a bit to find the food that Roscoe tolerates the best. I don't know what your budget is, or what is specifically available in your area, but here are a few brand options: Natural Balance Taste of the Wild Merrick Canidae Most of these brands offer grain free treats as well. Is Taste of the Wild dog food linked to heart issues? Should I switch?
This is true. Vets are seeing an increase in dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs fed grain free diets, and Taste of the Wild is one of those diets seen in the FDA investigation of this link. I would change Thunder's food. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I feed my own dogs Iams, and they love it. Best of luck.
