Around 4 weeks of age, you can begin to introduce soft puppy food (canned or moistened kibble) into the their diets in addition to their puppy milk replacer, such as Esbilac. Dogs of any age should not be given cow's milk, as most are lactose intolerant and can develop vomiting and diarrhea.

If Potchi is a new mom she may be a bit confused or overwhelmed by her new puppies. Keeping an eye on her and helping the puppies to nurse may help. If you need to supplement their food, a puppy milk replacer such as KMR or Esbilac can be used along with a syringe. There should be feeding instructions on the side of the can for your puppies' age and size so that you can give the correct amount.

First, I would definitely recommend having the litter and mom examined by your vet - there are a number of health problems that could be making the dam reject the puppies. In general a one week old puppy should be eating about 22-30 ml of commercial puppy milk replacer (such as Esbilac) per day, and should be fed every 2-3 hours. This link has more information on caring for an orphan puppy. I would not recommend using a home made emergency milk replacer recipe. https://www.petcoach.co/article/orphaned-puppies-how-to-raise-them/

Supplement Toby with a puppy milk replacer such as Esbilac or Pet-Lac. Provide fresh water at all times. Monitor his weight to confirm gains. You can make a gruel using puppy food and milk replacer and offer that to him as well. At almost 8 weeks, he should not be going to his mother to eat for every meal.

Provide additional heat support as needed. Be careful to not cause burns though. You can pick up some Esbilac or Pet-Lac at the local Petco and supplement the runt. Keep track of his weight to confirms adequate gains.
