Traveling is a common trigger for stress in cats because they are not conditioned positively to travel.

Ohio to Florida is a very long drive for a stressed out kitty. I would consider the use of pharmaceuticals to relieve the anxiety associated with this trip. There are drugs that can both relieve stress and / or tranquilize scrappy for moderated to extended periods of time. Also, you are speaking about a harness. Are you not intending on placing Scrappy in a crate / cat carrier for the trip? I would definitely reconsider if this is your plan, as this sort of confinement will certainly make Scrappy feel more comfortable. You can also add something like a Feliway spay to the carrier, which is a pheromonal substance designed to keep cats calmer. Hope this helps and good luck with your move!

That set up looks perfect for Kitter. Thanks for including pictures. The reality is that cats sleep when we are at work, so my only concern at 14 years old is that he is able to comfortably jump up to the second level in order to access his bed. As long as he is able to make that jump easily, I think he will be very comfortable in that cage while he gets acclimated to his new home. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answers your question. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Cats are rarely impressed by travelling and it can cause much anxiety. Calming supplements or royal canin calm food can be very helpful, as can pheromone products. Familiar food, toys and bedding are helpful also

Hi there and thanks for your post on PetCoach! I would recommend calming supplements for your pets that have L-theanine in them which can have a calming effect. I would recommend a product called Composure from VetriScience which comes in a liquid and chewable form. I have the product linked below: I hope this helps!

Yes, the can sure break their teeth biting on the cage. I cannot tell if this happened without examining him myself. You would need to have a vet examine him in person. I don't know if these things are available in Saudi Arabia or if it is possible for you to purchase from Amazon in the U.S. and have it shipped to you. 1. A soft sided carrier so he can't hurt his teeth if he bites it: ( https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Black-Soft-Sided-Pet-Carrier/dp/B00QHC01C2/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=soft+cat+carrier&qid=1562502762&s=gateway&sr=8-4 ) 2. Feliway Spray to spray inside the carrier 15 minutes before using it: ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018BVZFG8?aaxitk=Ekmi9JETZULuWIK4.R2xYA&pd_rd_i=B018BVZFG8&pf_rd_p=9420597b-7dad-4cbd-a28d-7d676ac67378&hsa_cr_id=2708538710301&sb-ci-n=productDescription&sb-ci-v=Ceva%20Feliway%20Spray%20(60%20mL)&sb-ci-a=B018BVZFG8 ) 3. Feliway diffusers to put around your new house to help calm him: ( https://www.amazon.com/Comfort-Zone-Feliway-Diffuser-Calming/dp/B00I9SI40S/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=feliway+spray&qid=1562502868&s=gateway&sr=8-10 ) Your vet may know where to get these items so check with them as well.
