Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There is nothing wrong with using a litter box with a lid. Some cats do not like boxes with lids so that would be the only problem but if you start at a young age (like you are) there may not be any problems with using it. Kisses to Nala!

Hi and thanks for posting. A lot of cats do not take to the covered litter boxes as well as open non covered boxes. I would take the cover off of it if possible and see if she uses the littler box with the top off. I'd try that first. I hope this helps and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

This could be tough if the cats have never used covered boxes before. If you have any of the used litter from the old boxes, put this in the boxes so it has their scent. Make sure to use the same type and brand of cat litter. It may help to leave the boxes uncovered for a few days o allow the cats to get in the habit of using the new boxes, then put the cover on. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is often solved by trying a different cat litter and adding another litter box in the household. I think trying this would likely help you very much. He is also absolutely adorable! Good luck!

Hello, sorry to hear about Bunny. some things you could consider is getting a larger litter box. Additionally, you should have the litter box in a place where its private for them so as to make them more comfortable. Finally, you should always an equal number of litter boxes as cats, and then have an extra one. You kitty may not be having enough privacy while going into the box and thus not using it adequately. If this doesn't help, you may need to try a covered litter box or even a different type of litter. Hope this helps and best of luck.
