Because fleas are so problematic, flea prevention is essential! Commonly prescribed preventives include oral and topical medications—although injectable flea prevention is available, as well.

Hello. Porous versus solid surfaces will vary, but if you do not apply it too heavily, your carpets & furniture should dry within an hour or so, depending on temperture in your home. If you can set up fans, this will speed drying. Then, just use your hand to judge how dry the cloth surfaces are. Once it feels dry to your hand, your kitties can enter the room. It appears to be a canine product, although for a smaller weight catergory, so should be ok. Do not give it to cats however! I do prefer Advantix and prescription flea/tick products, however, due to the reactions seen with Adams and similar products.

I would say 14 days but you should call Adams as they are most familiar with their products. heir website states that it depends on the product you are switching to. Please contact the Adams consumer response line at (800) 234-2269 for more information. I hope this helps. Best wishes!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! In my opinion, the best two flea and tick preventative medications are Bravecto and Frontline plus. Any of those would be good options for him. Good luck and have a good night!

If it is available, my best topical flea treatment for cats is Cheristin. It is very effective and kills fleas before they bite, which is helpful for cats with flea allergies since it is the bite they react to. Comfortis is a tablet that is also very effective, but it can cause vomiting.
