  • Description

Please note that the product information displayed is provided by manufacturers, suppliers and other third parties and is not independently verified by Petco.

Chinchilla's need dust baths at least 2 times a week. Chinchillas have very dense fur and don't bath in water because the density of the fur prevents air-drying and moisture on the skin can result in fungus growth or rot. They bathe in dust to absorb oils and dirt (much like dry-shampoo for humans).

    • - Encourages natural grooming behavior of Chinchillas
    • - Easy to assemble two piece dry bath

  • Pour about 1 inch of dust into the Chinchilla Dry Bathtub and replace lid. Place inside the habitat for 5-15 minutes, allowing the pet to frolick and roll in the bath. Dust penetrates the pet's fur and helps collect dirt and oils. The dust particles will fall away naturally, but the chinchilla can also be brushed with a soft brush for added cleaning
