While I do not own a doodle / long coated dog of my own anymore, I do work in the pet grooming industry. I was also seeking a brush that would work well for my long haired, elderly cat that wouldn’t be as rough on his skin. For that, I’d say even this brush meant for a doodle works…alright at best. It is pretty flimsy, especially the teeth. While it gives the impression that it would do well for a doodle with how long the teeth are, it’s genuinely too flimsy to do a decent job at reaching any hair close to the skin. My cat tolerates brushes well and did really seem to like how soft this one is, though! However, he will still need a decent brush to properly go through all of his coat. Aside from the teeth issue, it is a cute brush! The color is nice and the handle has a great texture for grip. The handle / plastic itself seems sturdy! I am trying to imagine using this brush on a doodle at my work and I unfortunately cannot imagine it working well. : (

This is probably supposed to be used on a long haired dog but we use this on my long haired cat and he loves it. ESPECIALLY on his cute little head. Something about the bristles makes him go nuts on his face.

My old doodle brush that we had for 5 years was getting haggard so I was looking forward to trying this replacement. My doodle ends up matted easily so I have to brush him about 3-4 times a week. This brush did the trick, and the bristles were perfect to detangle and prevent any mats. I am recommending this brush to other doodle owners!

Gets deep to get the mat out and makes my Doodle fluffy. She'll sit still where she fidgets with straight brushes.

What i liked about this product is that it fits great in my hand and has a comfortable handle. The size of the brush is great, its not to big or to small so any size dog would be able to use it. I got this brush not realizing it is for Doodles or for use with curly hair dogs. My long coat dogs did not care for it as it got down to the skin which seemed to make them uncomfortable so i stopped use. mind you i do believe this brush would work well with curly dogs to help get matts out of their hair. Overall the quality of the brush is good, just not good for my furr babies.

I have two hound dogs and they don’t have very much hair and don’t shed much at all but this brush did amazing at getting the loose hairs out and even cheatgrass came out with it too. My dogs loved it and wanted me to keep brushing them as the bristles aren’t hard, they’re soft.
