Questions
Is there a longer version or another product to add retractable length to this safely?
- There is no longer retractable version of this specific item, and adding another product to extend it is not recommended. Attempting to attach an additional cable to a retractable system can cause severe tangling, prevent the line from retracting properly, and compromise the safety mechanism. If your dog needs more room to roam, you may want to look into standard, non-retractable tie-out cables which are widely available in longer lengths up to 30 feet or more.

How is this anchored into the yard?
- You will need to hammer it into the ground past the fins on the stake. It's a little tricky, but there should be a black piece that covers the top of the unit that you can hammer on.

Can you decrease the tension for small dogs?
- Hi, No, the EveryYay Stretch Your Legs Heavy Retractable Tie Out does not feature an adjustable tension setting. This specific model is designed for dogs up to 100 lbs and utilizes a high-tension retraction mechanism that may be too strong for smaller breeds. Thanks.
