I like the filter but the front grate and the grate that holds the filter both cracked.. I can’t find a way to replace just those plastics pieces… so I guess I have to buy all new filters. Witch sucks as I jsut bought this one and a new one I was going to put in my other tank. But had to take parts from it to fix my one already in use. Now I have to wait to buy another filter to fix my other turtles tank up now.. kinda upset can get new plastic pieces…

We bought a whole Zilla kit for our turtle and these filters get dirty fast, even after cleaning the tank. Not only are these filters disappointing but the pump that came with the kit is noisy & the water gets foamy, wether it’s these filters or the pump, who knows but it keeps happening.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for your inquiry. This can not be in water deeper than 6.5 inches. However, you may certainly place it on a platform or other object to raise it up high enough in deeper water.
