Replaced nearly everything within 2 months.
Do not recommend!! Bought this 2 months ago with my new turtle. It had great reviews (I didn't notice they were all 2 years old). 1. All of the coupons/rebates were expired. 2. The food/treats were expired. 3. The water conditioner was expired.
I decided to keep it as I still got the "important" things - filter, lights, etc.
Then i found out the heat lamp wasn't strong enough, the UVB was not strong enough for recommended care, so I replaced both of those.
NOW, after less than 2 months, the filter is making grinding noises, so i'm looking to replace it as well.
So I spent a lot of money for a little basking dock and 2 domes (which i've replaced with a dimmable and a deep dome for my own purposes, but these weren't "bad"). Complete waste of money and time.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Zilla Team
We are very sorry to hear about your experience with this kit, especially after finding expired food, treats, water conditioner, and offers and then experiencing concerns with the lighting and filter. We understand how frustrating it is to replace multiple components within such a short period of time. Heating and UVB requirements can vary based on turtle species, enclosure setup, basking distance, and other factors, so it is important that the lighting selected meets the specific needs of your turtle. The grinding noise from the filter after less than two months is also something we would like to learn more about. Please contact our Consumer Care team at 1-888-255-4527 or https://www.zillarules.com/contact-us so we can document your experience, review the products involved, and assist with appropriate next steps.

Great starter kit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit is great for a new, smaller turtle. the heat lamp clips are especially helpful at making sure the lamps dont move when lifting top to feed. My turtle loves the blue light and the shrimp

Awesome kit, but make sure you have the lid!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before you buy the kit, make sure you have the right lid for the lights to sit on. That's the only thing this kit doesn't come with, although it does mention that it's sold separately on the instructions. The light fixtures are great quality and the added light bulbs are nice. This kit came with good sized bottles of water conditioner, and fixtures for the dock. The floating dock is good if you have a smaller turtle, but will need to be replaced with the XL one as the turtle grows. The little pack of river shrimp was a nice added treat and a pretty decent size pouch that should last me about a month.

Great turtle kit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t believe all the wonderful items that we’re included in this kit. If you have a turtle its a must buy. We added the filter and it made a big difference to the turtle’s environment. The heated lamp also is a great item to have with the cooler weather.
