Customers overwhelmingly praise this salmon oil supplement for its exceptional palatability, with even picky eaters eagerly consuming meals after it is added. Reviewers consistently report visible improvements in coat shine, softness, and reduced shedding, along with decreased dandruff and itching. The clean ingredient list—featuring only wild-caught Alaskan salmon and pollock without hormones, antibiotics, or steroids—reinforces customer trust. Many appreciate the convenient flip-top bottle design and mild odor. A few report isolated packaging issues, but most consider this supplement highly effective and worthwhile.

I really had high hopes for this as a food topper for my senior dog, to entice him to eat more as well as addicting some important amino acids to his diet. However, he won't touch it. Also, none of my 3 cats will try it. A cat I petsit also turned his nose up at it. I will say that it smells pleasant like fresh salmon, it's easy to dispense and it's a great value, so I'm disappointed they didn't love it. I'm not sure if others' pets will be less picky, but I did not have good luck with this, even though I was certain it would be a big hit! I'd recommend you try because it's clearly a high quality product and provides nutrients that are very helpful.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Hi Suzanne, thank you for sharing your experience with the WholeHearted Wild Alaskan Salmon Pollock Oil Blend Nutritional Supplement for Dogs & Cats. We're glad you appreciated the quality, value, and ease of use, and we appreciate your feedback that it wasn't the right fit for your dog and cats. Thank you for sharing your experience!

My cat has diabetes, and one of his biggest symptoms is dry and flaky skin. I've been adding this to his food, and it seems to have helped with the issue somewhat, which is great as I know it bothers him and makes him quite itchy. I'll definitely keep using it going forward to help combat the problem!

I already give my dog a fish oil and this seems to be comparable. This was a small sample bottle so difficult to see any long-term differences in terms of skin or coat. Not-too fishy smell and he enjoyed it on his meals! I also like that's it's much less messy when pouring the oil compared to the other brand I was using, so A+ on packaging.

I am comparing this to a popular Amazon brand and this brand is less concentrated when it comes to the omega 3, which results in a smells less fishy smell. My dog has no problem eating this with her food.

I got the 3 oz bottle and wish I had paid a little more attention to the serving size, since it goes quicker than I expected! That said, it makes a great topper for my Alaskan Malamute's food. We like to mix things up and add variety to her meals and treats, and this is an easy way to give her something extra. Salmon oil is also a nice addition for supporting her coat. Overall, a great option for adding variety to your dog's meals. I'll just be more mindful of the serving recommendations and buy a larger bottle size next time!

I have been using it for a few weeks and I definitely see the difference in my dogs coat for sure. The coat shines and I have been asked what shampoo I use and then I tell them I added this supplement to their diet. Will continue using it!

My dog absolutely loved it! Ate it right up and actually refused to eat food without it. My dog is 12 and I wanted to get this to support his joints. Plus it doesn’t have a yucky smell. The packaging is great.

Great supplement product! Love the nice amount size bottle, has been lasting a while. Fish oil is great for a few extra vitamin boosts in my dog's diet. Easy to squeeze a bit from the bottle into his food. He loves the taste too!
