Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this wet cat food for winning over finicky eaters with its minced texture, savory chicken and liver flavor, and gravy-rich consistency. Most reviewers report their cats eagerly consume it, licking bowls clean, including seniors, post-dental surgery pets, and those with sensitive stomachs or dietary restrictions. Customers commend the clean ingredients, grain-free formula, and low fat content, noting it suits cats with pancreatitis and urinary issues. While some find the soupy texture too liquid or prefer thicker pâtés, the majority consider this a significant strength. A few report their cats rejected it, but overall, most customers highly recommend it.

Both my adult cats and kittens( 4-5 months old) enjoy this flavor and consistency while they enjoy "pate" of another brand. As I foster cats and kittens from time to time, this product, high in nutrition and reasonable in cost, is ideal for my budget.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Quality Control Issues - Found Bug In Can!

ConcernedCatMom2

This food has typically been fine and eaten well by my cat. Today, however, I opened a can and there was a lady bug trapped in the wet food can-still alive! I called and got a refund for the one damaged can. The customer service representative said they would relay this information to the manufacturer, but it just felt like my concern wasn't taken seriously. I'm concerned about quality control issues for this food manufacturer and may need to switch my cat off of Petco's Wholehearted brand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My Finicky Eater Eats This!

I have one ‘fat’ cat who eats anything and everything! I have another cat who is thin; she is so finicky!! I have tried so many canned foods to supplement the dry food (Origen) that I feed them, and she wouldn’t eat it, or would vomit it. I asked at the store, and was directed to the Magnificently Minced. My cat eats it!! She comes running for it!! I was so very excited!! I am hoping to put a little meat on her slight frame. Of course my chunky kitty loves it too!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

My 2 ten year old cats always eat pate fstyle ood and prefer seafood flavors but I accidentily ordered the minced texture. Food was very liquid in texture and ignored over several attempts. Will make sure not to order again.

Doesn’t look like brains!

So you know how wet dog or cat food normally looks like mushed up brains…? Like, how in the world would my fur child like this? Well, this does NOT look like this! I could actually see real veggies! My cat who also has urinary and stomach issues didn’t get sick afterwards, so I call that a win!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not my cats favorite

My cats were okay with this food. They don't normally like minced more than pate but with this brand they seem to prefer it. They still weren't very enthusiastic about the food but I like that this food doesn't smell like "cat food". It really just smells like chicken, which is nice. I will say that the can for this brand of food is too thick or something because it's difficult to separate the lid from the can and I accidentally cut my finger a couple of times.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have 3 cats, 1 of them really likes it but he eats just about anything, the other two smelled it and wanted nothing to do with it. I also notice some silver pieces like metal shavings? Idk but doesn't look normal

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Are there pics of these foods anywhere? Just as a note to Petco, it is really helpful for pics of the actual food to be included for the pickier cats! :)

  1. The side of each box shows what a spoonful looks like. You can see it best online looking at a full case vs individual cans. Pate is the solid cake form. Flakes is shredded bits in gravy and minced is really fine chopped bites in gravy.

Could you tell me the source (animal) of the liver for this item? It does not specify in the ingredients and just says "liver."

  1. Hi Catmom555, It is chicken liver. Thanks.
