Mainly purchased for the price and trusted the Petco brand. I started with the chicken only recipe but that kept going out of stock so I switched to the chicken & beef. It started well with 3 kittens and 3 adult cats all eating it, but after a week they all started to eat less of it and not finishing their portions. I put the leftovers for the outdoor strays and even they started to dislike it and not finishing it. Unfortunately I can't recommend this as there seems to be something wrong with the recipe that is making them no longer like eating it.

WENT FROM MEATY TO MUSHY--WATERY, IVE BEEN BUYING THIS BRAND FOR TWO YEARS. I AM NOT HAPPY THAT PETCO HAS DECIDED TO WATER DOWN THE PRODUCTS. SEVERAL FLAVORS I AHVE STOPPED BUYING THEY HAVE WATERED DOWN THE PRODUCTS PROFUSELY. NOW, THE CHICKEN FALVOR, WHICH MY CATSLOVED HAS BEEN WATERED DOWN AND MADE INTO A MUSHY SUBSTANCE RATHER THAN THE NICE MEATY TEXTURE IT WAS BEFORE.

Its a sick or elder kitty who is gonna need this minced texture. Thanks to this kitty slurppy - I got a kitty through 50 days of temps over 100. And then, it seems his teeth now have an issue or ... needless to say Rave reviews for the product. The shipping! is broken. Its a shipping nightmare! The shipper calls it "shipped" when all they have is the data about the shipment. The estimated delivery is arrived at by coin toss! They just roll out "expected delivery date" another day. And another day. And another day. Meanwhile since I can't get it at the store - I am rationing cans! 'Cause its anyone's guess when I will actually get the delivery. AND this is the only food he can get down.... You can't find out who actually will bring it to the door... UPS, USPS -- meaning is it going to be handed off to yet another carrier and more delays in delivery! before I can put it on the plate. If I sound frustrated and desperate -- I have no plan b and no answers. Plus the gigantic sale pushes my wee order down the ladder to zero importance. Did I learn my lesson? No, I ordered more -- same story! Why? its the only thing the cat will eat! And lo -- its happened again!

Purchased this because of the price, description on the can, and endorsement by store staff. My cat hasn't been too picky with wet food in the past, but wouldn't touch this. I tried both the beef and chicken and the chicken alone with the same results. Even left it out while I was at work, thinking he might try it later, but no joy. Also observed that the contents of the can were very soupy with a much higher moisture content than anything else I have tried. That is not a terrible thing in my opinion, but I don't believe the low price indicates a good value in this case.

My cat hated this. More like a very messy pate with gravy added to it. He wouldn't even go up and smell it. Gave it a glance and walked right past. He hates pate and I can imagine his thought process. When I opened it I already knew he wasn't going to like it. So far, Wholehearted isn't capturing the heart of my cat. He's liked one of the cans they've actually given me that I paid for. I'm not happy with Petco right now.
