Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this wound-healing spray for its rapid effectiveness on cat injuries and skin irritations. Most highlight visible improvement within days—wounds closing, scabs forming, and hair regrowing—often avoiding vet visits. The spray format is valued for easy application on resistant cats, with the gentle, non-toxic formula safe for pets to lick without harm. Many describe it as an essential first aid staple they would never be without. A few report nozzle malfunctions or rare initial discomfort, but these are vastly outweighed by strong satisfaction and trust in its reliability.

We’re very sorry to hear that your cat became ill and required veterinary care. We understand how frightening and upsetting that experience must have been.

Vetericyn Plus Feline Antimicrobial Hydrogel is labeled “safe if licked or ingested” because it has undergone independent biocompatibility and toxicity testing through NAMSA and was found to have no measurable toxicity. However, “non-toxic” does not necessarily mean that ingesting a large amount cannot cause temporary stomach irritation, vomiting, or other digestive upset in an individual animal.

The product is intended for topical use. When a cat is repeatedly licking the treatment area, we recommend preventing access with an appropriately fitted recovery collar and consulting a veterinarian, particularly if vomiting or other symptoms occur.

Treated 2 of my cats for different problems !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually ended up using Vetericyn Plus hydrogel on 2 of my cats and it was effective for both issues! One cat had a wound on his back leg that was about an inch long and my other cat had some sort of allergic rash all over his skin on his back. The gel relieved his symptoms immediately and the leg wound took some time to heal since it was bigger. There’s no odor and it didn’t hurt/sting their wounds at all. The only problem was the spray top. Cats don’t love this, ever, and I suggest changing that to a different style. I ultimately sprayed it into my hands and applied each dose that way and it worked out perfectly that way!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this product a while back and did not have the need for it till my cat got an infected paw from "attacking" the catus bush in the neighbors backyard. We have apply this on the wound for 3 days and the infection clear up pretty well. The cat did not like it at first but he is okay with us spraying the gel on his paw now so I guess it doesnot sting. Overall its does help with the would on my cat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vetericyn Animal Wellness Plus Feline Antimocrobial Hydrogel is what every pet owner needs! It works great on hotspots or a spot that your pet might be licking too much. It soothes the area and my pet finally leaves it alone! I cannot recommend this product enough!

Questions

1 - 10 of 18 Questions

My cat recently started scratching her neck raw to the point it bleeds. Would this help?

 1. I think the first step is to find out the cause of the itching. My kitty was scratching from fleas. I got that under control while using the gel to heal the wounds. It is very soothing.

My cat has been scratching the side of her neck raw, to the point it bleeds. I clean the area with the Vetericyn Wound spray, would the hydro gel help her to stop scratching?

 1. Hi Jerry. Yes, our Hydrogel can help. You're doing it exactly as we recommend for optimal healing: first clean the area with Wound Care spray and then coat the site with our Hydrogel. The gel will adhere to the site and provide soothing relief. Using both products can help reduce the irritation and the need to scratch. If the problem persists, please contact your veterinarian. Thanks and we hope your cat feels better soon.

Can this be safe to use on spayed areas for male cats

 1. Yes! I’ve used this product on my domestic male and female as well as tame ferals

Can this be used on a cats paw pads?

 1. Yes, Our Vetericyn Plus line can be used on torn pads, cuts, or abrasions on feline paws. It is also safe if licked or ingested, so no need to worry if your cat licks their paws.

Is this okay to use on my cats abscess? It already drained.

 1. Yes, it is safe to use on your cat abscess. If the abscess is still deep, tunneled, or irritated, we suggest using our Wound & Skin liquid. Once the affected area is closed and you are seeing healing start, you can switch over to hydrogel and wrap if its in an area that can be covered.

My senior cat has a bout of miliary dermatitis on the outside of his ears and top of his head not caused by fleas. Can this be applied to help the itch and to hopefully eradicate the scabby rash?

 1. Hi Jen4Kings. Our Feline Hydrogel will help relieve the itch and irritation caused by dermatitis. It will also protect and aid healing. For best results we recommend first using our Feline Wound Care liquid to clean the area and then applying the hydrogel to soothe and protect. We wish you and your cat the best!

Can this be used on an abscess that ruptured? If so do I need to wait till it stops draining to use?

 1. Yes, it can. As it is water based, you don't need to wait till it stops draining to use.

Will it help against ringworm

 1. Our Vetericyn Plus products work great to help address ringworm symptoms and can also help reduce itch and pain. We suggest using our liquid formula to clean the area and them following up with the hydrogel. Sometimes, ringworm can become severe enough that it requires medical attention by a veterinarian. Good luck!

Would this medication help with feline herpes?

 1. Thank you for your question. Our product can help topically with sores and irritation caused from Feline Herpes but it will not cure or treat the disease itself. Vetericyn Plus is a great solution to use to spray on the affected area to keep clean and reduce irritation.

About 1/4 through the bottle and the spray nozzle is all "gunked up" and nothing comes out. I cleaned with warm water and still no spray...any tips so i can actually use this and not waste it?

 1. Hi HCAZ7. We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with the sprayer. Please contact us directly at customerservice@innovacyn.com or call 866-318-3116. We'll be happy to help resolve this issue for you. Thanks!
